To answer this problem you need the molar heat of fusion for water.  This is 6.01 kj/mol, where kj is kilojoules of heat.  Now, heat of fusion is the amount of heat (in kj) that is required to melt a substance.  Now, you have .3 kg of ice, which is 300 grams.  You need to convert this to moles to find the answer.  So take 300 and divide by 18, the molar mass of water, which equals 16.67 moles water.  Then multiply this by 6.02, which gives 100.3 Kj of heat.
